The "Mighty Aphrodite" top, in a super-soft lightweight wool knit from Christine Jonson. I got this fabric last spring, I think. Christine has the best knits! Normally, wool knit is too scratchy for my skin. Not this. I even washed it in the machine on "gentle" and it is perfect.
This view of the top has long sleeves, and I put the optional ruffle on the shirt hem only. I was planning to put ruffles on the sleeves, but I opted to hem the sleeves with a picot edge finish, which is less in the way - important, as this is a 'wear to work' shirt for me.
I am wearing the top with Christine Jonson's pencil skirt. I think the top will look better with slim pants (as suggested by the HotPatterns experts) or even a shorter knee length skirt.
I have another version of this top made (and I've worn it several times already) - I will post it here eventually, I guess.
Anyway, lately, my sewing has been more of the 'keep it simple' variety, as things at work (my day job, so to speak) have been very busy. Good busy, but still, busy - which kind of limits my sewing time. I anticipate that things may be calming down a bit in the near future, which will free up some of my time and energy for quality sewing time. It's been a long time since I made anything "serious" and I am itching for a chanel-style boucle jacket... I even have the fabric and the buttons.

Beautiful top and lovely color!
You've done well. Love the colour on you. I agree that pants would work better.
That's really beautiful! I can't believe there's wool in that fabric. Wow!
Very pretty top! I always enjoy reading about your projects simple or otherwise.
The top is beautiful, and I love the color! It looks great on you, but I agree that a shorter skirt or pants would work better.
