Inspired by my visit to the Ralph Rucci exhibit at FIT (which closed on April 14), specifically by the title of the show, entitled "The Art of Weightlessness", I have created a lightweight wool jacket for summer using Vogue 8258, a top pattern. I will wear this over a tight fitting black camisole. Special thanks to "la pequena cubana cose", who gave me the idea to make Vogue 8258 into this type of wool jacket!
You can read a bit more detail about my jacket, including a photo of the inner construction, by going here. Just scroll down a bit; this is my website, on which I also post information on my sewing activities.
I'm making a pencil skirt to go with this jacket. The pencil skirt is from the April 2007 Burda WOF issue, and I am inserting a godet at center back for style and walking ease. Stay tuned to see the skirt and jacket worn together, as soon as I can finish the skirt!
